Choosing the correct brake assemblies will depend on the weight capacity of your trailer's axle and the size of the brakes. A 2,000 pound axle will use 7 inch brakes like # AKEBRK-2. A 3,500 pound axle will use 10 inch brakes like # AKEBRK-35-SA. And larger 5,200 to 7,000 pound axles use 12 inch brakes like # AKEBRK-7-SA.
