It sounds like you are looking at a tire similar to the Westlake ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire # 274-000012. The speed rating you mention of "L" is a max of 75 mph. If tires have this higher speed rating, they are labeled L or M (81 mph). If they don't have the L or M speed rating, ST tires are limited to 65 mph max.
If you want that higher speed rating, I recommend the Provider ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range C # TR20514 or the slightly larger and higher load range Provider ST215/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # TTWTRTM2157514D. I've attached an article to help further.
