Hitch Extender to Allow Truck Tailgate to Lower When Trailer is Hitched

I have a Ford F 150 with a 2inch hitch and receiver. When towing my boat i am unable to lower the tailgate completely. I would require an extension around 6. The boat weights approx 6800 lbs. Do you offer an extender that would work with this application?

We do offer 2-inch hitch extenders that can give you extra clearance for your F-150 tailgate. You can see these by clicking on the link I included for you. Blue Ox part # BX88265 provides 6-3/4-inches of extension and is rated for 10K.

I went and grabbed an Advantage SportsRack Hitch Extender #HE6000 from our warehouse to get the dimension you are looking for. The distance from the weld to the nearest pin hole is 3-1/4 inches on the shank.
