Question:
Can i splice your Tekonsha primus brake controller activation wire into the brake light switch on my 2014 Mercedes sprinter without worry of throwing any codes or create any problems with the sprinters wiring. Thanks for any help.

If you follow the installation instructions of the Tekonsha Primus IQ Brake Controller, # TK90160, then you will not have any wiring issues after installation in your 2014 Mercedes Benz Sprinter.
The Primus IQ, will have a 4 wire pig tail harness that you will use to your vehicle's wiring. The wire colors will be, black(12-volt power), white(ground), blue(brake control signal), and the red wire(wired to brake light switch).
The red wire should be wired to the cold side of your brake light switch of your vehicle. This wire will send a signal to the brake controller to activate when as the brake pedal is pressed. The included diagram shows you how a brake controller is typically installed on most vehicles. The diagram shows the basic 4 wire connection used in wiring a brake controller in a vehicle.
