Question:
Older brake controllers had to be mounted on a level position. Does the Primus IQ require the same leveling?

The Primus IQ Brake Controller # TK90160 has a self-leveling feature so that it will still operate up and down steep hills. It does need to be mounted on a level horizontal plane and be lined up with the direction of travel. Vertically it can be mounted at any angle between 0 and 90 degrees.
I've attached a diagram, the instructions, and a video that you might find helpful.
