Question:
What is a Reese Revolution pin box? is this the same thing as a Reese Sidewinder Pin Box?

A Reese Revolution and a Sidewinder Pin Box are essentially the same thing. It is simply called a Revolution when it comes as OEM/factory equipment on a trailer. The aftermarket product is called the Sidewinder. There are some very minor differences between the two, such as available weight capacities (there are more options with the Sidewinder) and the particular turret design on the unit.
The Revolution/Sidewinder Pin Box moves the pivot point 22 inches behind the king pin, allowing a short bed truck to tow a fifth wheel trailer without the need for a sliding hitch. It can also be used with truck beds shorter than 6 feet, who otherwise would not have the necessary turning clearance for sharp turns, even with a sliding hitch. These are designed to replace the existing pin box on the trailer, so you will just need to make sure you locate one that will fit.
For example, the Reese Sidewinder # RP34FR is designed for use with the Fabex 663 and 665, Lippert 0719 and 1621, and the M&M 663 and 665 pin boxes. I have attached a link that will take you to our available selection of Sidewinder pin boxes, along with an article on the subject that you might find helpful.
