I have a flatbed ford, with a gooseneck ball in the bed.I want to go from the ball to a 5th wheel hitch. Towing about 16000.

I think the easiest/best option for you at this point would be to go with a fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter like part # CAB-C5G. This will install onto the pin box of your trailer and will allow your trailer to be towed by the gooseneck hitch in your flat bed.
