The best way to find a weight distribution system that is best for you is to first determine the tongue weight of your fully-loaded trailer when it is ready to tow. Then add the weight of any cargo you place behind the rear axle of your towing vehicle. That gives you the total tongue weight to consider. You want that weight to fall near the middle of the range of the weight distribution system you choose.
If your total TW is over 400 lbs. I recommend the Equali-i-zer weight distribution, part # EQ37060ET. This system is designed for tongue weights between 200 and 600 lbs. This system has built-in sway control that helps in windy conditions or when passing big trucks on the highway. This comes with a shank and hitch ball as well. To install the ball you will need a thin wall socket like part # ALL643216.
