Question:
Previously, I purchased a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller for my 2011 Outback. I installed it per your excellent directions. I am planning on buying a 2016 Toyota Highlander XLE V6 with a towing package. The towing package includes a bigger alternator, bigger radiator, transmission cooler, and better fan. What do I need to buy to use my Tekonsha brake controller in this Highlander?

To install your Prodigy P3 Electric Brake Controller # 90195 into a 2016 Toyota Highlander you can use the wiring harness # 20127. This will plug into the P3 and then hardwire under your dashboard.
If the Highlander needs a 4-way trailer connector the Curt Wiring Harness # 56042 will provide one for you. Then you can use the install kit # ETBC7 to add a 7-way and all of wiring to power your trailer's brakes. If you already have a 4-way then just add the # ETBC7. If you already have a 7-way neither are needed.
To mount the P3 in the Highlander's cab you can use the Replacement Mounting Bracket # TK5906
