Question:
I cannot seem to determine if this is a straight spindle or tapered. I put a caliper on the initial part of the spindle it and it is 1 inch. However, theres a piece towards start of the spindle towards the inside of the wheel that is larger in diameter. Does this make this tapered? I measured this to be 1 1/4. I cannot seem to find any wheel hubs that are 1 and 1 1/4 tapered. Im wondering if the larger part is part of the old wheel bearing? I pulled on it but its on solid. I enclosed a picture, let me know if you need a different angle. The trailer is pretty small 4x6. Let me know if you have any thoughts on this. Thanks!

Most likely you have a BT8 spindle as that spindle has a .99 inch diameter where the bearings ride and then 1.25 inch where the seal rides. Can you see where the bearings ride and where the seal rides?
Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly, # 8-91-05UC1 is compatible with BT8 spindles like what you most likely have.
