Can Base Plates Be Used On 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited With Front Mount Hitch

Question:

I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport which I installed a draw tite front hitch that I purchased from etrailer two years ago for surf fishing. Now I am in need of a base plate so I can tow the JKU behind a Motor home. Can they both be installed?

There is only one way to tell if they can be used together.

Check the mounting location of your front hitch where it attaches to the frame of your jeep. I was unable to find your purchase of the Draw-Tite hitch in our system but the Draw-Tite Hitch # 65069 we offer attaches to the inside of the frame behind the front fascia.

I have attached a photo of the location where the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate, part # RM-521448-5 attaches on a Jeep you can check out. As you can see, they also attach to the frame at the front of your Wrangler.

Also, before purchasing a base plate kit we need to know what style bumper you have on your Jeep. There are several options for bumpers so it helps us make sure we recommend the correct one for you.
