Recommended Cover For 2017 R-Pod RP-179 Travel Trailer

Updated 10/26/2024 | Published 10/13/2016

Question:

Greetings, We have an R-Pod RP179 travel trailer, model year 2017. We would like to get a cover for it for storing this winter. I was looking on your web site at the following cover: Classic Accessories Deluxe PolyPro III HD Cover for Tear Trailer - Up to 20foot Long # CA80200. Do you have any other options or suggestions? Im also wondering about the TV antenna on top of the trailer. How will a cover affect that and vice versa? Ive attached a picture of our trailer. Please note that the door is towards the back of the unit, not in the middle. Thanks

I did some research and contacted Classic Accessories to make sure we get you the right cover for your 2017 R-Pod RP-179 Travel Trailer with the door behind the axle. There is a specific cover I recommend that allows for that door access, # CA80-197-171001-00. This cover is a custom fit for your trailer. For the ultimate in weather protection, this cover features triple-ply, weatherproof fabric to keep out rain and snow. Wicking technology eliminates interior moisture buildup - perfect for wet climates. It has zippered side and rear panels that provide access to the entry door as well as other storage compartments while the cover is still in place, allowing you to simply roll up the area and secure it out of the way.

There will not be an issue with your antenna regarding the cover unless there are sharp edges. The cover is made to accommodate a little extra vertical room. They confirmed it wouldn't be an issue.

I just ordered this cover (CA80-197-171001-00) for my 2017 RP179. Besides the Air Conditioner and TV Antenna, I have a 10' Thule Awning. Will this cover still fit over the Awning? OR Is there another cover for this scenario? Warmest Regards Sherry
