Question:
Code: STL211RB Hello, the product looks good, but I am wondering if I have to run a wire all the way inside the trailer frame to the 7 pin plug? If so, I would probably splice the wire that feeds the back up connection I believe the center one. Or isnt that necessary? thanks

If you have existing trailer light wiring, it is not necessary to run additional wiring from your new LED light to your 7-way connector. You can splice into the wiring that feeds your current lights but will need the following pigtail leads.
You will need a right angle # A47PB or a straight # A45PB 3-wire pigtail lead and a 2-wire pigtail # A45CB to install the Optronics Stop-Tail-Turn-Backup Trailer Tail Light # STL211RB. (The 2-wire pigtail can be replaced with a standard 3-wire pigtail lead as well.)
You will also need to connect the back-up wire. If you do not have existing reverse lights, you will need to run wire from the reverse lights to the center pin on the 7-way connector. The attached photo displays the single pin that carries the reverse signal. You can use # 16-1-1, sold by the foot, to run the reverse light signal.
