Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for fit 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 with B&W Turnoverball

I have a 2015 chevy 2500 duramax and recently purchased a BWGNRK1012 BandW Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs and want to know if the BWRVK3400-5W BandW Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs will work with my truck with the BWGNRK1012? Also will the tailgate be able to remain on?I was originally going to use a fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter but do not believe I would have the cab clearance.

For your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 short bed with the B and W Turnover Ball hitch part # BWGNRK1012 installed the B and W Slider Companion part # BWRVK3400-5W that you referenced is a confirmed fit and would work well.
This hitch is designed to fit into the hitch ball opening you have installed in your truck bed and would work well. Many regard the Companion hitches as the nicest around so it would work well for you.
If you wanted to remove your tailgate and leave it off that would not be a problem either. Most leave it on without a problem as well.
