Are Slide Strips Supposed to be Glued Down in the Thule Cascade XT Cargo Box

Question:

Love my Thule, but it needs a little love back. I understand this replacement but I have a few questions. My plastic strips have come off the Thule, it seems they were glued in place before, is this correct? If I get this kit how to I secure the plastic strips to the inside bottom of the housing. Also my housing units dont slide as they were seated in the two holes of the plastic strips. Any help would be appreciated. Do you provide glue to secure the plastic strips. Please help.

The long plastic strips in the EasySnap Mounting hardware are part # TH05308. They are often called slide strips and as such they are not meant to be permanently glued down because then the feet would not be able to slide. If there is glue residue left in the box I recommend using a product such as Goo Gone to clean it off before using the new strips.
