Question:
Thanks for your help. Will this model fit a 2000 Ford Explorer w/Tow Package and a full size factory spare? If not, do you know a trailer hitch that will? I tried the CURT 13106 Class III Receiver which is stated to fit a 2000 Explorer but it did not work apparently the factory tow package adds additional metal framing near the bumper that prevents the hitch to work. Can you please advise on the most appropriate trailer hitch model? Thank you,

Draw Tite states that their trailer hitch part # 75096 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2000 Ford Explorer and will allow it to retain a full sized spare. Because of that I would recommend it for your application.
If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
For trailer wiring the part # 118345 would be what you need as well.
