Question:

I have a 2008 jeep grand cherokee limited with a factory tow package and 7 wire plug in back. Do I need any additional parts to install part #90885. Thanks, Dave

No plug-in brake controller wiring is available for your 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but luckily the P2 brake controller # 90885 includes a pigtail that you can use to hard wire the unit to your vehicle.

White: Ground, attached to the vehicle negative battery terminal.
Black: 12v lead, attached to the vehicle positive battery terminal with a 20amp or 30amp circuit breaker, parts # PK54520 or # PK54530 respectively. You would use the 20amp breaker for a trailer with 2 to 4 brakes, or the 30amp for trailers with 6 to 8 brakes.
Blue: Electric brakes, attached to the blue electric brake wire on the 7-way plug.
Red: Stoplight switch, normally located directly off the vehicle brake pedal.
