Question:

I have 5 bikes that I would like to fit on one of the Thule/Yakima swing racks that are only meant to hold 4. Of the Thule Apex and Vertex swing, and the Yakima Full swing or Swingdaddy, which have the longest arms that I can squeeze 5 bikes onto?

Four-bike racks are only going to have cradles to hold 4 bikes with the exception of the Yakima FullSwing # Y02465; which doesn't have cradles per se though still has straps and anti-sway cages to hold just 4 bikes though it would be your best bet.

It is hard enough some times to get 4 bikes on a 4-bike rack. Adding a 5th that is also not secured like the others probably will not work and you could end up exceeding the weight capacity of the bike rack so it would be an at your own risk type of situation.
