What Can I Carry Inside the Yakima SkyBox 21 Cargo Box

Question:
I am not going to use this carrier for ski equipment. Will it work well for golf clubs,camping gear,soft side luggage? All descriptions seem to relate to ski storage. Thank You

The item you selected, the Yakima SkyBox 21 Rooftop Cargo Box, part # Y07337, can carry golf clubs, camping gear and soft luggage. The exterior dimensions are 92" long, 36" wide and 18" tall. So, you may want to measure any hard luggage, but most average-size suitcases will fit.
The items placed inside the carrier, must have the weight distributed evenly and should not exceed the lowest rated weight capacity of the carrier, roof rack, or of the vehicle's roof, whichever is lowest. Part # Y07337, weighs 62 pounds so you will have to include that weight plus the weight of your cargo to not exceed the roof rack or vehicle roof capacity. You can find the weight capacity your roof can hold in the vehicle's owner manual.
