Question:

99 durango factory sliding side rails that are flush with top. factory crossbars with oval profile. looking for conversion of factory crossmember to allow my yakima stuff to work. or-a clamping system that will clamp to my exisiting flush side rials that run front to back on roof. not somthing that clamps to roof and door opening...

Yakima offers their Universal MightyMounts kit # Y03590 to allow most of their roof-mounted accessory carriers to be used with factory crossbars like those on your 1999 Dodge Durango. The kit works on crossbars up to 4-inches wide x 1-1/2-inches tall. Mighty-Mounts are not compatible with the Sidewinder roof-mount bike rack but work with most other Yakima carriers.
