Question:

Can the ball of the Curt Pintle Hook 2-5/16 Ball for 2-1/2 Hitches - 20,000 lbs Part #C48012 inch be changed out with the Replacement Hitch Ball for Curt Pintle Hook Combo - 2inch Diameter - 10,000 lbs - Chrome ball, Part #C48820? inch Im looking to be able to switch between a 2-5/16 ball and a 2inch ball as needed. It appears both share the 1-1/4inch shank diameter.

Yes, if you wanted to change the hitch ball of the # C48012 to a 2 inch ball you would need to unscrew the nut on the bottom of the ball mount and then install the 2 inch hitch ball # C48820.

They both do share the same 1-1/4 inch shank diameter.
