This 2-5/16" hitch ball is a replacement for the ball that comes standard with Curt pintle hook and hitch ball combos C48006 and C48012. Can also be used with Curt pintle hook and hitch ball combo C48007. Chrome plating resists corrosion.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Replacement Hitch Ball for the Curt Pintle Hook Combos. This is going to have a 2 and 5/16th inch ball diameter. It's rated at 16,000 pounds. It's going to work with the Curt Pintle Hook Combos, those combos are sold separately. It's going to act as a direct replacement for the ball that comes standard with Part Number C48006, and it can be added to Part Number C48007 to supply a 2 and 5/16th inch ball. It's going to provide the attachment point for a standard hitch ball coupler, it's made from a drop forged steel construction. It's going to have a rust resistant chrome plated finish on it, so it's going to last a long time, and it's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. It does come with a nylon insert lock nut, so that is included.
Here on the side, it's going to have the wrench flats which makes for an easier installation. Again the weight capacity on the unit is 16,000 pounds, ball diameter is 2 and 5/16ths of an inch. Take a measurement of the shank diameter real quick, that's going to give us a measurement of an inch and a quarter. The shank length, that's going to measure 2 and 3/8ths of an inch, and then the length of just the threaded portion is going to measure about 1 and 3/4s of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement hitch ball for the Curt Pintle Hook Combos.

It’s a hitch ball. It does the job. I’ve never noticed if the chrome came off after Jack was done with it.

product is stamped 6000 lb on top. Do not exceed this limit GVWR. This was the only 1-1/4th inch stem with a 1-7/8th inch ball. Had to get things from diff. sources to get what i needed. I got a class 4 hitch from one place and 17000 lb 2" receiver bar (class 5) from another place. 50dollars now at The Hitch Man to torque 8 hitch bolts and this ball (450 ft-lbs). Shpg these heavy things costs a bit, so about $280 plus 50doll for 7-slot trailer wiring oval plug insert for Chev truck, so $330 total. going to re-do old trailer wiring - need emer. brake sys. 62doll, replace 7-slot trlr side 31doll, 12doll jn box. So this part was a good product in all of above.
Needed a hitch ball for my new John Deere 3025E. Needed to tow a 2k GVWR utility trailer for hauling wood etc., with a 1-7/8" coupler. The drawbar is 1-1/4" thick with a 1-1/4" hole for hauling wagons and trailers. I knew finding a 1-7/8" hitch ball with a 1-1/4" shank would be a challenge, but etrailer had in stock. The 2-3/8" shank length worked perfectly, only 3/8" exposed thread below the lock nut which still allows for plenty of ground clearance, necessary for me hauling a trailer on woods trails. Appears to be of high quality, easy install. Very pleased!

Replaced a pintle hitch ball perfectly, though the flats were a smaller size than the original. Threads, nylock nut and chrome finish was excellent. Shipping and communication was excellent and on time as usual.
I bought it because of the 16,000 pound rating. I pulled a 15,000 pound trailer with it and had no problems.
We needed a short pintle ball. One of the only ones I found was here at Etrailers. Worked out great.
