This 2" hitch ball acts as a direct replacement for the ball that comes standard with Curt pintle hook and hitch ball combo C48007. Can also be used with Curt pintle hook and hitch ball combo C48006. Chrome plating resists corrosion.

Today we're going to take a look at the Curt 2 inch replacement hitch ball for the Curt pin to hook combos. Has a 10,000 pound weight capacity. Now, this hitch ball will work with the Curt pin to hook combos that we do sell separately on our website. It provides the attachment point for a standard hitch ball coupler. Now, this part will act as a direct replacement for the ball that comes standard on the pin to hook combo. Part number C48007 and this part can be added to the pin to hook combo part number C48006 to supply as 2 inch diameter size ball.
This is a drop Ford steel construction. If you notice it has a nice rust resistant chrome plated finish and the nylon insert lock nut, which is on the bottom here. That is included to install it onto that combo. A few specs on this. The weight capacity again, which is stamped on the top, is 10,000 pounds. The ball diameter, 2 inches.
The shank diameter is 1 1/4 inches. That should do it for the review on the Curt 2 inch replacement hitch ball for Curt pin to hook combos. With a 10,000 pound weight capacity.

It’s a hitch ball. It does the job. I’ve never noticed if the chrome came off after Jack was done with it.

The Reese Steadi-Flex takes a ball with a 1-inch shank, instead of a 1-1/4 inch shank which is typical. I'll have one of our Customer Service folks reach out to you.
