Will a Kuat NV or Sherpa Bike Rack Clear Back of 2015 Nissan Murano with Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch

Question:

Hi, Am looking to pair a hitch and Kuat Sherpa or NV bike rack combo for my 2015 Nissan Murano. I saw on another post that the Sherpa will not fold-up on a Rogue although that looks to be with a different hitch. Part 75952 seems to be the correct hitch for the Murano, but can you clarify if one of these two racks would be a better combination?

Hidden Hitch trailer hitch # 75952 is one of the hitches that will fit your 2015 Nissan Murano. When installed we found that the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole back to clear the rear of the vehicle is 4-1/4 inches, see video link.

The Kuat NV # NV22G measures 7 inches from the pin hole to the nearest part of the rack when folded up so it will clear the rear of the Murano easily. Given that there is ample clearance with this rack I recommend it.

The Sherpa # SH22B measures 9 inches when folded up so it will also clear the rear of the vehicle but will be a little further than the NV.
