Expert Reply:
The highest-rated 16-inch trailer tire we offer is the Load Range G Provider ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire # TTWPRG235R16. This tire's maximum load capacity is a whopping 4400-lbs at 110-psi cold tire pressure when used in a single-tire application. Capacity drops to 3860-lbs if used in a dual-tire configuration.
This radial carries an M speed rating of 81-mph maximum. It fits 16-inch rims with widths of 6, 6-1/2, 7 and 7-1/2-inches.
Trailer tires should always be fully inflated to their maximum cold psi pressure as noted on the tire sidewall.

I currently have a 2017 Residential 5th Wheel 40.6ft. Empty Weight is 12,500lbs. Loaded 15,800lbs. With 2 8,500 Tandem Axles with 235/85R16 10plys Load Range E. I bought it new. My Brother in Law told me that I should Replace the 10plys with 16plys Load Range G sooner than later to hold the Fully Loaded Rate while my wife and I Travel because we live in our 5th Wheel Full Time. Can you please tell me what is your opinion. Other RVERS have told me that Tire Centers usually will give us a trade in Value if we buy new Upgraded Tires.
