Recommended Goosebox To Replace Lippert 1116 Pin Box On Fifth Wheel Trailer

Question:

I need a better set up than the pin box and adapter I have now to tow a 5th wheel trailer with a goose neck hitch. it looks like a Lippert #1116 by the measurements, 2a--4 3/8, 3a--14 5/8, 3b--22 1/2, 3c--12 3/8. I'm sending pics.

Thanks for the photos of your trailer pin box. That really helps when trying to find the right parts. With the dimensions you provided, it looks like you have a Lippert pin box on your trailer. Using an adapter like you have to attach to your gooseneck will increase the jarring and chucking and can make the ride uncomfortable. I have a solution for you.

From the measurements you gave it does look like you have a Lippert 1116. If you double check your measurements before purchasing and find out you do have those measurements I recommend removing your pin box on your trailer and installing a Goosebox like part # RP94716-61301. This will eliminate the need for the adapter and with the cushioned air bag and dual shock absorbers you will feel a lot less chucking and jarring.
