Troubleshooting Loud Whistling After Rhino Rack Roof Rack Install

Question:

Just installed these and Im shocked by how loud these are. Hopefully I did something wrong because they look great. The whistling noise over 50 mph is shocking. Like real high pitched sound. Almost like what happens when a blast goes off near your head and you have ringing in your ears.

Did you install the rubber strip in the upper and lower channel of the crossbars? What you described sounds like you are missing that as these are aero bars and should not be whistling at all.

If there are any holes in the channel on the bottom or top of the bar they should be covered to get rid of the noise.

Or you can use a fairing like part # RRRF3 to direct the air over the rack.
