Question:

I am having the dreaded death wobble on my 2011 Chevy Express 2500 conversion van. I have searched your tech tips and found reference to Roadmaster steering stabilizer part # RM-RBK17-RSSC for different years Express vans. Will this kit work on my 2011 Express 2500? The first thing to look at is what is the underlying cause of the death wobble on your 2011 Chevy Express Conversion Van? Some vehicles just do it with no mechanical reason why. Others may be in need of some sort of repair or wheel balancing/alignment.

Basically if the root cause is not addressed there is no guarantee that a steering stabilizer or other product would solve the problem.

Steering stabilizer # RM-RBK17-RSSC does fit your van but the product that will make the greatest improvement in ride quality is a new anti-sway bar, # RM-1109-175. It is designed to minimize side-to-side movement to improve overall stability, reduces driver fatigue, and diminishes the effects of crosswinds, passing motorists, and shifting cargo.
