The sturdy steel spring on this stabilizer keeps your vehicle in line by constantly working to maintain its position. Mount it between the steering mechanism and the chassis for a tight connection that will minimize wander and correct oversteering.
Features:
A variety of things can make your vehicle veer - crosswinds, uneven pavement, tire blowout. The key to a pleasant, and safe, driving experience is learning how to deal with these situations. Roadmaster's Reflex Steering Stabilizer works to return your vehicle to center when something happens that causes it to swerve or jolt. As a result, you won't have to oversteer in an attempt to stay in line, thus minimizing road fatigue.
The stabilizer attaches to your vehicle's tie rod on one end and to the frame on the other. A heavy-duty steel spring runs the length of the rod, constantly working to keep steering controlled. If you steer your vehicle one way and it gets pulled the opposite way, the spring will stretch momentarily and then quickly pull back to its normal state. If you oversteer your vehicle in the same direction it is already moving, the spring will compress for a moment but then push back out to its prior state. No matter how you steer or how the frame is pushed or pulled, your vehicle will always return to center.

RV: 2007 29ft Four Winds - Express Van 4500 chassis
Install was easy and quick, approximately 1-hour to install myself.
After install, I made a test run on the freeway, and I can say it is night & day difference. I got to 70 before I knew it and it’s so smooth. The steering now gives you so much confidence, and you feel you have complete control. Feels like driving a large SUV. Before this, when you were at 50+ MPH, there was so much wheel-play in the steering wheel. Now it is completely gone.
I put this kit on my class b RV which is on a Chevy Express chassis. It really helped with on center feel traveling down the road and added some stability in crosswinds. I was worried that it would affect steering effort, but you really can’t feel much difference from stock. Only issue that I had was the spring would unwind from the collar and affect the on center adjustment, as well as generating some noise on slow turns. Once I figured out what was going on I just put some RTV silicone on the collar grooves and screwed the spring back in place. Has not moved since. Highly recommend this product!
Just what my chevy express needed.
I was looking for something that would help keep my motorhome from being so susceptible to semi truck blow by and imperfections in the road , something that would help me drive my motorhome not let my motorhome drive me. The first one was on my 36’ beast i didn’t think much at first but really began to notice the difference on those long stretch drives , I’m not saying it made the driving completely perfect but it really helped , I found that my grip on the wheel didn’t have to be anything like it use to be , there was far less tracking from the texture of the road and way less wandering , it also helped with wind and the dreaded semi truck blow by , pushing you out , then sucking you in as they pass . As far as stabilizers go I would have to say this one is tops in its class. If you use your motorhome you will not be disappointed with this product , this is my second one purchased and the very first thing I put on my new motorhome . etrailer has a home run with this product . No worries on ease of installation , road master has great customer support also as I found out when I had a question about installation on my new motorhome . Thanks etrailer for finding and selling products that really work .
using on my extended 15 pass 1 ton chev express van....
Man... what a difference this made instantly....
makes steering former to turn the wheel... by firmer, i mean a bit more input to turn the wheel.... all positive though...
it has greatly helped an occassional death wobble down to nothing.
the van is new to me, amd not had chance to shake down sispension yet, but this shock/spring combo gives the van such a more confidence inspiring drive.
the spring over the shock is really neat, as it brings you right back to center paired with the power steering, actually making the power steering more linear feeling.
first drive, i took my hands off the wheel and the van tracked dead straight...
price is about right for what it does.... this is a safety modification to me first and foremost, but actually will allow for more time in the drivers seat with less wear n tear on the body.
i could see this item priced at around $100 less thoigh for all it really is... a small steering stabilizer shock with a spring on its outside....
the brackets are VERY heavy duty and powdercoated, and accompanied with standard grade 5 hardware zinc plated.
overall a good purchase under the $300 mark.
install is easy.... directions were fairly clear. an hour to install this first is aboit right.
second time around would take me no longer than 30 minutes.... im gunna order one for our c5500 next.
Installed on class B rv Chevy 3500 Express chassis
We boondock on N. F. S. land and most of the gravel roads are wash boardy. The steering wheel would go into a very bad wobble. This stabilizer stopped the shake. Steering on smooth roads seems better also.
I installed this on a 2013 Chevy Express 3500 class "C" motorhome chassis on a 2014 THOR motorhome. I did this on my driveway without lifting the motorhome. The fit was tight for ME, but I could reach everything to install the stabilizer. The install took about one hour. I test drove the motorhome and the set-up was fine.I drove the motorhome the next day over 450 miles, WHAT A DIFFERANCE! Follow the instructions and its an easy install. The only helpfull hint thats not in the instructions is that you can use a 1/4" open end wrench to hold the end of the strut piston to keep it from spinning when you tighten up the mounting nut. The piston end is flattened for this purpose. This with a set of bilistien shocks takes all the sway out of the unit. The crosswinds and semi trucks don't effect it like when it was factory set-up ! I recommend this stabilizer!
I installed the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer on my 2006 Roadtrek motorhome on a Chevy chassis. I did the installation myself and it took about 30 minutes. Only tools needed where a socket wrench and open end wrench.
After the installation, took it for a 75 mile test ride and was very pleased with the difference the Steering Stabilizer made. No longer need to make constant corrections when driving. Tracks straight down the road. Highly recommended.
Fantastic stabilizer! Installation was easy with a near perfect fit. After installing on my 2006 Chevy Express 3500 cutaway box van it completely eliminated the brake shimmy (which seemingly most all Chevy vans suffer from, especially under heavy load braking). Highly recommend this product!
This is our 4th kit installed on customer vehicles - all GMC/Chevy 3500 - customers were all getting an uncontrollable, violent & dangerous shake - this is taking care of it!! Why they do not come out of factory with one installed is strange!!
Bracket kit is an easy install - no drilling/new holes!
Very happy with the product & free shipping was great too!!
I have 17 of these GMC Savanas and this is the only fix I have found for the "death shake" these get when the tires are not brand new. I have spent years trying to fix this when only new tires would solve the problem temporarily. Worthwhile investment.
Customer service and delivery time was incredible!! I have not installed the product yet but it looks like it will do the job.
Thanks etrailer!!

I am really happy with this steering stabilizer, works as intended. Installation was easy for my Chevy class C.
Showed up fast! Easy to install, took a hour overall. Noticeable improvement on the Chevy 3500 chassis.
Great product. Help prevent the death wobble I was experiencing from my front end. Etrailor was great to deal with. Fast shipping and excellent service. I will be ordering from them again.
Received quickly. Installation took about 30 min. Directions and photos could be improved. Test drove to ck.for pull. All ok. Need to get on the interstate with the trucks for the true test. Installed on Chev/Four Winds class C after recent cross country trip.
great speed on delivery. 4 stars not 5 because I can't install to cold and snow in mn. looking forward to warmer weather. let you know in the spring. thank you Dan
Thanks! It's working great! You guys saved me big time!
Helped the handeling of my motor home s ignificantly
First, I did have to grind off corner of the plate that mounts under leaf spring bolts. It would not lay flush so I tapered one of the edges where it met the axel a little bit till it laid flush. I did buy a 3/4 inch wrench set but with an rv, it's good to have and will possible allow me to get the 22.5 inch wheels off in an emergency. This with a good solid 3' pipe and I was able to fairly easily break the leaf spring bolts free. I used boards to ensure the fronts tires were fairly straight, laying them alongside the tires and eyeballing to see where they lined up with the back tires which are about 4 inches wider than the front outside width. I mounted the steering stabilizer and took it for a test drive and it was good the first time, no additional adjustments needed. Feels good on the road, good around turns, and even at low speeds around the driveway, I did not notice any extra effort to turn the wheel due to the heavy spring on the stabalizer. Put about 75 miles on it and it feels solid and stable though no high winds or passing semi trucks yet. But my 2007 ford f53 22000 lb chassis under a holiday rambler admiral body has always felt pretty good. Just trying to make better, next up is the new koni evo fsd heavy duty shocks coming today.
I did the drive to find center on steering wheel which made installation easier. Removing existing steering stabilizer and brackets and installing the new wasn’t difficult at all with just basic tools. Read instructions and watch video at etrailer site. The reflex steering stabilizer is worth the money but should be the last modification done in my opinion. The first thing to install to help the swaying, leaning or just being pushed around by the semi trucks is #1 Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar if the manufacturer left the original small one on. #2 Roadmaster front anti-sway bar. Then #3 Roadmaster Reflex steering stabilizer. I say Roadmaster because the bushings and linkage for all of these are very heavy duty compared to the others that I compared. After doing all three of these upgrades to my 2022 E-450 33 foot class C the driving has gone from seriously gripping the steering wheel to driving relaxed with one hand in high wind or the passing of big rigs and ruff dipping road surfaces. I did this upgrades one at a time in the order I’ve indicated so I actually got to feel how each item help to control my motorhome. I am very pleased with all. Thanks etrailer for the excellent service.
Quality built steering stabilzer. Well packaged and arrived within my expected time frame.
2007 Fleetwood Bounder 35E F53 chassis. What a world of difference driving. No more white knuckle, butt cheeks crunched, wife holding on for dear life driving. It's does what it says. The install was a breeze. I recommend this to any one with a Class A.

Still working great, no issues at all after about 10,000 miles of use.
