Can Rack'em E-Track Spare Tire Mount be Used on the Exterior of a Trailer

Hello..Will the Erickson tire mount work on the exterior wall of home made camper/ice house? Would like to mount unit to exterior wall instead of interior. Will unit stay secured or locked to track system during transport? Appreciate your insight -

Expert Reply:
Technically you could mount E-track on the exterior of your trailer and use spare tire carrier # RA-16HST. However, it is really best used on the interior of the trailer since the carrier is not a permanent attachment.
If there isn't any free space on the frame to mount a carrier such as # FHDSTC0101 then I recommend welding on carrier # 413200 which is normally seen on gooseneck trailers.
