Can the Titan Chains TC2228SCAM Be Used for Off-Road Applications
Question:
These pop up under on/off road use but it doesnt say anything in the description and wanted to double check. Also looking at chains on other sites there is an option for E rated tires. Im guessing thats for a little heavier chain, I dont see that option on your site. Just asking because of the huge price difference between the Pewag and Titian brand chains. On the same hand the damage of a broken chain would weigh out the difference in brands if titian are a lower quality. I will be using these in the Colorado mountains ice fishing and mud snow mix on dirt trails elk hunting. Thanks

The Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2228SCAM would work well for off and on-road applications. The square link chains like this do well in deep snow and off-road situations since they are larger than twist-link style chains.
The Titan chains are priced great. They still are a high-quality durable chain though. They are made of manganese-nickel allow that will last much longer than the low carbon steel chains.
