Solution for Bearing Buddy that Won't Accept Grease
Published 11/16/2015 >
Question:
Hi, I purchased a bearing buddy from your company a few years ago. It was the model 1980A with the blue oil cap indicator. It was a great product and the blue cap always came out after I pumped some grease in. For some reason, last 2 years, everytime I tried to add grease in there the grease refuse to go in, itll just come out of the tip of the gun and the tip of the grease fitting. I did research on the internet and it seems folks either have the same issue or not. Just wondering if you have any advice for me on this matter? Ive seen people jackup the wheel and spin it while pumping the grease, but I just watched your video on the site and you guys didnt do that for the bearing buddy install. Thank you for your time and reply

Moving the wheel could help allow the grease to make its way into the hub of your trailer, but it could also be a clogged zerk fitting.
There isn't an easy way to unclog zerk fittings so you may just need to replace the Bearing Buddys with the part # BB1980A. It could be dried up grease on the other side of the Bearing Buddy too. You would want to remove them and try cleaning them from the inside.
