Question:
I have an older trailer with a tapered shaft. It is a 4-bolt hub. The inner bearing closest to the trailer is an LM67048. The outer bearing appears to have an inside diameter of 11/16 inches. I had a 3/4 id bearing laying around and that is too big so I know for sure it is smaller than a 3/4. I cant make out all of the numbers on the outer bearing, but it looks like an LM11 is the first four digits. The fifth digit appears to be a 7 but its hard to be sure...and the last two digits are not readable. Any idea what bearing I would need for the outer bearing? I did a search on your site using LM11 and the only bearing that came up was an LM11949 which appears to be a 3/4 id bearing and will be too big? Thank you,

We have a 4-bolt hub that uses LM67048 as the inner bearing and an LM11949 bearing as the outer. That is the only hub/bearing configuration we have for an LM67048 inner bearing. It is typically a hub found in agricultural trailer applications. The hub is part # AH15450ECOMP if you want to take a look at it and see if it looks like your hub.
I pulled one of the LM11949 bearings from our warehouse to measure. When measuring bearings, you really need to use a dial caliper. A tape measure is not accurate enough. The LM11949 bearing measures .746 inches or 3/4 of an inch.
What is the bearing number on the 3/4 inch bearing you had lying around that was too big? What is the measurement between two caddy-corner lugs, measured center to center? Using a set of dial calipers, you can compare the measurements of your spindle to spindle part # TRU54FR.
