It appears the old one used pop rivets, what size?

The screw holes of the Replacement Exterior Pop-Up Roof Vent # RV-626-062 that you referenced are 3/16 of an inch in diameter. Typically we recommend number 8 screws for the install of this.

A number 11 size rivet is commonly associated with this hole diameter so that would most likely be the size used for installing this.
