I pulled a sample of the Thule Replacement U-Bolt for Thule Prologue and Peloton Roof Mount Bike Racks, part # TH853-5420-02, and indicated its dimensions on the photo I prepared for you.
The actual wire stock this item is made from measures 1/5-inch or 5mm thickness.
