Seat Adapter Recommendation for a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee for Brakemaster Installation

Published 08/18/2015

Question:

Ok, I think I see. This bracket holds the break controller. Which you dont list as being required. When would the break controller be required? and when not? is it just to lighten the break load on the RV? I will not tow all the time but want the optionavailable in case wife doesnt want to convoy.

The RoadMaster BrakeMaster Custom Seat Adapter # RM-88287 that you referenced is designed to allow the installation of a Roadmaster Brakemaster like part # RM-9160 in your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. I can almost guarantee you will need to install supplemental braking in your vehicle, but you can check with your local DOT to be sure.
