PSI Inflation Rating for Hi-Run ST205/75R15 Load Range C Trailer Tire

Question:
I have a HI-Run BCT JK 42 ST 20575R15 6 ply C rate It reads 2150 pounds at 65 psi Is this tire marked wrong or what I read that C rated tire only good for 1820 pounds 50 psi What psi should I run???????? Where I bought tire said run whats marked on tire need advice

All of the 205/75-15 load range C trailer tires we carry are rated for 1,820 pounds at 50 psi. But that doesn't mean that someone doesn't make one that is rated higher. Customers have asked us about this tire before and all have mentioned the 65 psi rating.
So the people where you bought the tire are correct. Trailer tires should always be inflated to the maximum psi indicated on the tire. This is because trailer tires are built with a thicker sidewall compared to passenger vehicle tires. If under inflated the thicker sidewall will generate excessive heat and lead to tire failure.
