The spring loaded latch pin I recommend is the Redline Bolt-On Stainless Steel Spring Latch, part # SL716SS. This latch measures 6-3/4 inches overall and has 4 mounting holes. I have attached a photo of the latch pin with the dimensions shown you can check out.
