Question:

I need to replace the door latch inside and out on my 1994ish Wells Cargo Trailer. Will the Full Size Locking Steel Flush Door Latch, # L3980 work? If not, what do you have that will and if so, what part # do I need for the inside?

I researched circa-1994 Wells Cargo trailers but I could not find any confirmed specs for the particular door latch they used on their various sizes of trailers. Most do use a flush-mount latch like Redline # L3980 and # L1883. You'll need to remove the old latch and measure the opening to find the correct replacement latch.

Part # L1883 mounts in an opening that measures 2-5/8 x 3-3/4 and part # L3980 mounts in a hole that measures 3-3/8 x 4-5/8. For the inside knob you can use part # 4PLSP with either of the above.
