Question:
A reviewer mentioned needing to Just Buy 2 Locking Pins to secure Rack to Vehicle... . My question: Is there a need to buy two of the locking pins because if you only use one for the part that actually fits into the hitch receiver area, then anyone using a wrench can disconnect the rest of the rack from that part? It appears from the photo on your website that is possible. Is that right? Also, the photo on the website shows the rubber wheel straps to secure the wheels in the tire cradle, but the video demonstration shows that strap has been upgraded to a velcro strap. Do the XTC 4-bike racks you have in stock and available for shipping now have the upgraded velcro straps? Thanks

You would only need one Swagman Hitch Pin Lock, part # S64027, to secure the Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack, part # S64665, to your trailer hitch to help deter theft. It would be possible to unbolt the rack from the shank and take the rack. If you wanted to add another locking hitch pin for added security, you could.
We also offer the 10 Foot Cable Lock, part # e98891, which can be used to lock the bikes to the bike rack.
The rack now comes with rubber straps as an upgrade to the old hook and loop straps that wear easier. I went out to the warehouse and based on what I found in our stock, all have the upgraded rubber straps. The video features the old design which is why it has hook and loop straps.
I have included a link to the installation instructions on the Swagman bike rack.
