Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this replacement ratcheting wheel tray strap for your Saris bike rack. Now, if you have a Saris bike rack and one of your wheel tray straps is worn out, broken, or missing, this might be the exact replacement that you're looking for. This does replace one ratcheting strap that secures your bike's wheel down into the tray. On your screen I am including all of the model numbers of the Saris bike racks that this will fit. So if you have one of those, this is going to be exactly what you need.
So, as you no doubt know, this strap is what actually holds your wheel firmly in place while you're driving. So obviously it's a pretty important piece, and this replacement's going to let you safely secure your bike rack, or your bike to the rack rather, again, without having to replace the whole carrier, which is nice. So lemme see if I can try to give you some measurements here just so you have the further confidence that this is going to work for you. So I'm gonna try to line this up here in frame so you can kind of see what's going on. So looking at the overall length, and by overall length, I mean including the buckle, we're sitting pretty close to 13 1/2 inches.
Now, when we're looking at just the strap itself and we're not including the buckle, I'm gonna say if I can hold that in place. Looks like we're sitting pretty close to 12 inches. And then the width about 7/8 an inch. So again, this is the direct replacement from Saris, so you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, fitment issues, quality issues, or anything like that. Our new bikes have a longer wheel base than our old bikes. So I am using these to extend the old ones.

Knock off of the original and not quite as long I would have preferred the OEM but this does work.

We are still using the bike rack its great
I got a secondhand Saris bike rack for the car but 3 of the 4 straps were missing. After exploring the web for replacement straps, I found Etrailer. The transaction went very smooth - no issues and good service. The straps are perfect...no different from the original strap. So my bikes are now securely fasten to the bike rack.
These straps help hold the bike to the rack. Another safety feature!! Don't want to lose that bike going down the road.

Having used it several times in the past year, the straps are still holding up like new.
