Recommended Cargo Carrier For Front Hitch On 2012 Chevrolet Suburban 1500

Question:

I have a front mount receiver and am getting a cargo carrier setup. I need about a 7inch rise hi-lo adapter. I need at minimum 7.5inch from the center of the vehicle receiver pin hole to the back of the upper tube on the hi-lo to clear the bumper on my 2012 Suburban 1500. Id like to be able to carry up to about 400 lbs. Information on your site is inconsistent on dimensions on these parts. http://www.etrailer.com/p-BX88241.html - may work but 7.5inch dimension is vague on to exactly what the bend http://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Blue-Ox/BX88131.html has 8inch and would work. Im not clear what tongue weight this can handle. Can you help me with confirming the relevant dimension to see whether or not these products would clear my front bumper? Im going to do one more measurement on it to confirm but I think 7.5inch is what I need. Thank you

I recommend using a cargo carrier that will have enough clearance as you mentioned you need. One of the nice carriers we offer is the Curt 24 x 60 Cargo Carrier, part # C18151.

This carrier has a distance of 9 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the carrier when folded up and 19 inches when folded down. This carrier has a shank rise of 2 inches and measures 61-3/4 inches wide x 25-1/4 inches deep x 6-1/2 inches tall outside dimensions.
