Can 10 Gauge Wire Fit The Bargman 7-Way Trailer End Connector
Updated 05/19/2015 | Published 05/17/2015 >
Question:
I have and ESCO original molded plug that needs replacing. I picked up a Pollak from my local RV dealer. When I cut my old one off I had two #10 wires that will not fit the Pollak. I have not been able to find one that will. Will the Bergman connector work for me.

I pulled one of the Optronics 7-Way Connector, part # A7WCB and a piece of 10 gauge wire to see if it would work.
Although the 10-gauge wire is tight when inserted next to the post on the back of the connector, I was able to get it to fit and tighten, so it will work just fine for you. I have included a short video that shows the 10-gauge wire being installed on one of the posts at the back of the connector.
