What Does Adapter Do When Installing Access Tonneau Cover on 2013 Nissan Frontier with Bed Extender

What does the adapter kit actually do to allow the sliding bed extender to function? I just got a 2013 Frontier with an access cover already installed. I want to purchase the sliding bed extender but cant quite visualize how it will work with the rails on the cover. I think it looks like Laredo cover.

Expert Reply:
The mounts for the bed extender on the 2013 Nissan Frontier interfere with where the tonneau cover needs to install. The adapter allows installation of certain Access brand tonneau covers without having to modify or remove the bed extender or its mounts. I included a picture showing the instructions for the adapter, # 834532006946.
