Question:
I purchased a Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake controller. I have a 2009 F53 RV. I found the controller connection under the dash but the 3035P connector would not connect. I got a different one. With no trailer connected, the light does not come on on the controller. Is that normal? Also, I have a trailer connection tester and the EB light does not come on when the pedal is pushed.

First make sure the replacement wiring adapter you are using is wired correctly for your Voyager brake controller and your Ford F-53-based RV. The correct Tekonsha harness for your F-53 is part # 3035-P.
The Voyager # 39510 will not light up unless a trailer is connected. When it senses the brake circuit from a connected trailer the LED light will turn green. This is simulated in the linked demo video.
The Voyager will not send an output signal (for your tester to detect) unless the vehicle is moving, This is because it uses an accelerometer that requires you to be moving for it to activate the brake output.
