Today we're going to take a look at the replacement trailer brake magnet kit for 12 inch brake assemblies on 52,00 pound to 7 thousand pound axles. This part includes everything shown here on the table. It includes the magnet itself, the spring and the clip which is used to attach the magnet to the brake assembly. This magnet kit will allow you to replace the worn out magnet on your 12 inch trailer brakes and by just replacing the magnet it will save you time and money instead of having to replace the whole brake assembly. This part is designed to work with 12 inch brake assemblies on 52,00 pound or 7 thousand pound axles. If you notice the magnet is an oval design and this oval design will increase the efficiency of the magnet and it extends the life of the magnet itself. Just to give you an idea on the size on this, total width on this magnet is about 3 and one eighth inches, the height on it is right at about 2 inches and the thickness of it is right about 1 inch. Also if you notice, it has a sleeve on the first part of the wires that comes out of the magnet.
The reason they do that is when this is installed onto your brake assembly the wires go through the backing plate out the back so this is a protective sleeve that will protect the wires from rubbing up against the backing plate and causing damage so this sleeve will help protect the wires. If you notice it does have 2 black wires coming out and these are electric brakes so the 2 black wires, one goes to the brake feed, the other to the ground and it doesn't matter, either wire can be used for either function, there are 2 black wires so you can hook up either one either way.
