Question:
I purchased a Wells Cargo office trailer to convert to a mobile shop. The front axle brakes were gone and the back was a tag axle. I was able to purchase a couple of mobile home axles for replacements but the brakes were shot. Will your 5 hole brake backing plate fit a mobile home axle

Expert Reply:
Our 5 bolt mounting flange, # 4-44-1, will fit 3" round axles and fits with 12" brake assemblies like # 23-105 for the left side and # 23-106 for the right side.
We recommend having brake mounting flanges installed by trailer building professionals, that have a jig to hold the brake mounting flange square and concentric to the spindle, for proper braking performance.
