Differences Between Thule Raceway # TH9001PRO and # TH9001XT Models

What is the difference between the TH9001PRO and the TH9001XT? I am assuming that the PRO is a newer model of the XT. Is it worth the higher price of the PRO over the XT and if so why?

The Thule # TH9001PRO is the upgraded version of the Raceway 2-bike trunk-mount rack. The XT model has been discontinued, but the primary difference was the location of the locks. The XT model locked the release handles for the mounting cables, but left the levers exposed and easily tampered with. The PRO model features a locking cover that makes the release levers inaccessible for greater security.

The PRO model does come with a price increase, but I've got to tell you that the Raceway is the easiest trunk mount bike rack I've ever encountered. Because it's not recommended to leave the rack in place when its not being used, you'll spend a lot of time installing and removing the rack if you use it frequently. The four retractable cables are MUCH easier to use than the 6 straps and buckles used by other racks.

I've linked you a product demonstration video featuring the Raceway # TH9001PRO.
