Hitch Ball to Frame Dimensions for Andersen Ultimate 5th Wheel Adapter # AM3200

Question:
I have a question about the ultimate 5 th wheel hitch. We are getting a 2015 Chevy 2500 with 6 1/2 foot bed. I would like to know the measurement from the centerline of the bed ball attachment to the forward edge of the hitch base. I am interested in this measurement, as I want to determine if I can still use my in bed tool box and this hitch. Thanks for your time.

The Andersen Ultimate 5th Wheel Adapter # AM3200 that you referenced can be installed in two ways. Its offset design allows the adapter to mount with the hitch ball either closer to the truck cab or to the tailgate, depending on your trailer-to-truck clearance requirements.
I checked with my technical contact at Andersen and he advised that the two dimensions, from the center of the hitch ball to the outside edges of the near and far ends of the frame, are 8.1-inches and 17.3-inches depending on the adapter's orientation. Please refer to the linked photo that I have prepared for you.
