Question:
Can the height on this jack be adjusted while it is bearing weight on the jack? Also, What is the pin at the bottom of the jack used for?

Expert Reply:
I spoke with my contact at Dutton-Lainson, the manufacturer of the Bolt-On, Drop Leg Trailer Jack, # DL22320, about its functions. The jack can be cranked when there is a load on it to raise and lower the trailer as needed.
When the jack is off the ground, you can remove that bottom pin to lower or raise the foot in 3-1/2 inch increments, then replace the pin. This is used so you would not have to do as much cranking. The foot cannot be raised or lowered when the jack has weight applied.
